FSP's Online Baseball Position program is a training program catered to the needs of anyone wanting to improve their overall performance on the baseball field. At our facility we have managed over 100 professional baseball players including a league MVP, a World Series MVP, and a multitude of all-stars. We have been able to develop and refine a program that comprehensively addresses the specific performance and health needs of a baseball player. This program will use the same methods for exercise selection that we utilize for our pro baseball players that we train in house. Every month, group members will receive a new training program written by the FSP team that will consist of strength training, mobility work, power development and overall maintenance of increased fitness ability.
This program will give anyone looking to improve their performance on the diamond an opportunity to use the same training methods that the majority of our professional baseball population uses at FSP.
The program will emphasize increasing your strength and your power development, without losing your mobility in the process. With that being said, improved strength should never happen at the cost of range of motion. We want to help you maintain quality movement and be fluid during your play on the field.
Each month a new workout will be available for you. We program each phase to last 4 weeks. This gives your body enough time to adapt to the stress put on it and will ultimately prepare you for the subsequent training phase. Each phase will tend to have a different primary focus. As a simplified example, phase 1 typically focuses on movement quality, phase 2 focuses on strength, and phase 3 focuses on power.
Best advice about this training program: take the mobility and corrective exercises just as seriously as the strength and power exercises. Our clients who focus on movement quality along with getting stronger tend to make the best progress.
